A Chromebook is the perfect computer for your team.

With a Chromebook, your team gets a fast and secure computer, perfect for managing emails, creating and collaborating on documents and video calling with ease from everywhere. Chromebooks are incredibly popular with companies that get their IT Support and Google Workspace by Kimbley IT.

Why are Chromebooks so good for business work?

Using your Chromebook is just like using the Chrome browser, which you and your team use daily so minimal training is required for your team to make the switch. And because it is Chrome-based, all your favourite extensions work seamlessly with the added ability to run Android apps

Over the years, we have found Chromebooks are perfect for knowledge workers; these are people in your team who deal with emails, creating/ editing/sharing documents and spreadsheets, online programs and video calls, even Windows applications - the majority of most businesses workforce. For your graphic designers and video editors, they would still be better off using a Mac as the software they need is not currently available on Chrome OS.

The unique way a Chromebook works means that a virus or ransomware can't infect the computer. If the worst does happen and the device gets physically damaged, all you need to do is sign in with another chrome device and all your work, settings, and preferences will instantly reappear just as you let them.

For us, your IT support provider managing and supporting Chromebooks is super simple - so the more you have, the happier we are and the happier you will be as you'll have a lot fewer support requests.

What Chromebook should you buy?

If you have never bought a Chromebook before it can be confusing to work out which device to buy. There are many available from lots of different manufacturers. The biggest mistake you can make is buying on price - you'll end up with a disappointing machine that struggles to do what you want.

There are a couple of golden rules when buying a Chromebook that you should always abide too:

  • Never buy a Chromebook with less than 8GB of RAM

  • Go for Chromebooks with an Intel i3, i5 processors

  • And try and pick a Chromebook with a 3:2 aspect ratio screen (more space to see things).

The Chromebook we recommend to clients does change over time as new models come out; currently, we recommend the HP Chromebook X360. But only the model's carrying 8GB RAM and an Intel i5 processor.
