The Founder's Log Podcast - May 2023

As a Google Partner, Kimbley IT eagerly anticipates Google I/O, the annual developer conference where new products and features are unveiled. Given the intense AI competition between Google and Microsoft, we were particularly interested in learning about new AI features for Google Workspace. We watched the conference closely and were excited to see what Google had to offer.

Google's AI, Bard, is expanding its capabilities to include various tasks within Google Workspace, making mundane tasks more exciting. These new AI-powered features include composing emails and creating slide decks. We have already applied for early access to these features and hope to experiment with them soon to find the best ways to utilise them for our clients once they become available to everyone.

In May, a new client joined Kimbley IT. The company specialises in advising individuals diagnosed with cancer on how to manage the changes in their lives. They are based in the UK and Thailand. Using Google Workspace by Kimbley IT, the client can now effectively communicate and collaborate with their teams across different locations while maintaining control over their sensitive data. Something they previously struggled to do.

May Assistance and Support Statistics

In May, we got contacted 113 times by subscribers. Seventy-six of those getting in touch requested assistance (they want to know how to do something better). Thirty-seven asked for support (something needs to get fixed).

54.9% (62) of subscribers who sent a message to us received a response and returned to doing their work within five minutes. 38.1% (43) received a reply and returned to their work within 30 minutes. Four took over 30 mins but less than an hour to resolve. Three took over an hour to fix, and one support issue took over a day as it was a problem with Google Calendar and had to be handed to Google Support.

One hundred and twelve subscribers contacted us through our unique instant messaging service! The remaining one opted to get in contact using the phone.

The stats show that we believe eleven subscribers would not have gotten in contact if the companies they worked for had offered regular training through Learning Sessions by Kimbley IT.
