The Founder's Log - February 2023

Let's look back on what we got up to in February 2023.

February 2023 started with a new business signing up for IT Assistance and Support by Kimbley IT. This business is an accountancy firm based south of the River Thames in London. They are a Google Workspace business and are unique in that they only operate on Chromebooks, which allowed us to offer them a reduced monthly price as Chromebooks don't go wrong, compared to Macs or Windows devices.

Later in the month, we had a new business enquiry from a South East-based Borough Council. The Borough Council has some business enterprises they have invested in and are currently exploring if we could manage their IT systems; we should know the outcome in the next week.

Before the pandemic, I regularly visited IT business owners' meet-ups in Reading. These meet-ups have recently started again, and James attended for the first time in three years. The event is well run; the travel time is worth it for the selection of pizza, and the conversations and attendees are interesting.

A client who has been with us for a few months recently moved their office in Cirencester to a location based on a local airfield. Which allowed Kyle to visit them in person for the first time and guide them on setting up their new office with the correct equipment.

February Assistance and Support Statistics

In February, we got contacted 118 times by subscribers. Of those getting in touch, seventy-nine requested assistance (they want to know how to do something better). Thirty-nine asked for support (something needs to get fixed).

63.5% (75) of subscribers who sent a message to us received a response and returned to doing their work within five minutes. 35.6% (42) received a reply and returned to their work within 30 minutes. One contact took over 30 mins but less than an hour to resolve.

One hundred and twelve subscribers contacted us through our unique instant messaging service! With the remaining opting to get in contact using less quick contact methods.

The stats show that thirteen subscribers would not have gotten in contact if the companies they worked for had offered regular training through Learning Sessions by Kimbley IT.
