How to factory reset your Chromebook
Chromebooks are very reliable computers and rarely ever play up due to the unique way Google designed the operating system.
However, unfortunately, when you get a Chromebook that has decided to play up, you cannot do much to correct it apart from factory resetting the device, also known as Powerwash.
Factory resetting your Chromebook may sound scary, and you might instantly think, what will happen to all my stuff if I factory reset my Chromebook?
Once the factory reset completes, which will take around 20 seconds, all your stuff will reappear as soon as you sign back into your Chromebook with your Google account. Just make sure all the files you want to keep you have stored in your Google Drive as some folders such as Downloads will get wiped during the factory reset.
The process to factory reset your Chromebook:
Sign out of your Chromebook
On the log in screen press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R
Select restart
On the next screen that appears, select Powerwash, then Continue
Once the Chromebook is factory reset, sign back into your Google account
And that is how your factory reset your Chromebook.
