Website Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Kimbley IT is the trading name of Kimbley IT Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07780759. Our office is at The Moseley Exchange, 149-153 Alcester Road, Moseley, Birmingham, B13 8JP. When these terms say "we" or "us", that is who they mean.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply when you use the kimbley.com website and our free online tools, including the Email Security Check tool, the File Unzip Tool on our website, and the File Unzip by Kimbley IT app for Google Drive. By using the website or any of the tools, you agree to these terms. If you have a separate support agreement with Kimbley IT, that agreement covers the services within it; these terms cover the website and free tools only.

3. The free tools

4. Your files and your data

The File Unzip tools process your files in your own web browser. Your files are not uploaded to Kimbley IT, and nobody at Kimbley IT can see them. The Google Drive edition moves files only between your browser and your own Google Drive. How we handle personal data across the website and tools is explained in our Privacy Policy.

5. Using the tools responsibly

You agree to use the tools only for lawful purposes and only on files and domains you have the right to work with. You must not use the tools to attempt to harm, probe, or overload our systems or anyone else's, and you must not attempt to copy, resell, or pass off the tools as your own.

6. The safety block is not a virus scanner

The File Unzip tools refuse to extract zip files containing file types that criminals commonly use to spread malware, such as programs, scripts, and documents with macros. This is a safety feature, not a security product. It does not scan file contents, and it cannot guarantee that any file is safe. A blocked zip is not proof a file is dangerous, and an extracted zip is not proof its files are harmless. If you are unsure about a file, ask your IT team before opening anything inside it.

7. Google Services

The Google Drive edition of File Unzip runs on your own Google account, so Google's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of Google Drive. Google is not responsible for our tools, and we are not responsible for Google's services.

8. Our liability

The free tools are provided as-is and you use them at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website or the free tools, including loss of data, loss of profit, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
