The Founders Log - November 2025 Review

November kicked off with a bit of a return to form. For the first time in over a year, I headed over to Milton Keynes for an IT support business owners' meetup. It was run by my friend Steve Pretlove, who some of you might remember used to run the Thames Valley Group. Since that group ended during the pandemic, I have visited a few other groups, but they were often poorly run and lacked direction. Steve’s new event was a breath of fresh air—well-organised with a clear agenda and a focus on making the meeting valuable. I am definitely planning to make it a regular fixture in my calendar throughout 2026.

On the content side of things, I spent part of the month back in the editing suite. I wasn't entirely happy with how our YouTube videos were looking, so I took over the editing myself to get the style just right. However, I quickly realised just how much work goes into a weekly schedule! It was consuming far too many hours of my week, so I have handed the reins back to our external editor. The silver lining is that by doing it myself for a bit, I have given them a clear visual reference of the style I am looking for, and the quality of the new edits has improved significantly.

Finally, it is always rewarding to see our clients lean into the tools we provide. Our most successful clients understand that keeping their teams up to date is the best way to stay efficient. We held a successful Learning Session for one of our major clients this month, focusing on Google Workspace and Gemini AI. It was great to see their team gain insights into new features that allow them to increase productivity and find those handy time-savers they can now automate with AI.

Assistance and Support Statistics

Team members reached out to us 145 times. Of those, 118 wanted help learning how to do something better, while 27 needed support with an issue that required attention.

Of those who wanted to improve their skills, 87 only needed a quick chat that took less than five minutes. The other 31 required a more in-depth conversation and additional guidance.

Of the team members who requested support, 14 received a complete solution and were back to work within under five minutes. The rest needed a more detailed investigation and solution.

136 subscribers used our instant messaging service, which is the fastest way to reach us. The rest chose other, slower ways to get in touch.

The stats show that 34 subscribers wouldn’t have needed to contact us if their companies had provided regular training with Learning Sessions by Kimbley IT.
