How to book a meeting room in Google Calendar

In Google Calendar, when creating an event, you can also book a company meeting room at the same time for your event.

For this functionality to appear, your Google Workspace administrator must set up calendar resources for Google Calendar. Assuming they have done this, the following guide and video will show you how to book a meeting room through your Google Calendar.

  • Start creating a new event in Google Calendar.

  • In the event creation box, select rooms.

  • You should see all the rooms available for booking at your selected event date and time.

  • Select the room you want, and return to the event creation box.

  • Complete creating the event, and the Calendar will assign the room to your event.

Watch the video above to find out how you can view a room's calendar to see if the room is free before creating the event.
