How to open and view EML attachments in Gmail.

Sometimes, you may get an email from someone who uses Outlook that has an email attached to an email. Why they did not just forward the email like a normal person would is anyone's guess. Anyway, Gmail makes it easy to view EML attachments; you don't need any other software; you can view the attachments directly inside Gmail.

How to open an EML attachment directly in Gmail:

  • Open the email you have received with the EML attachment.

  • Hover your mouse over the attachment and click in the grey area.

    • Do not click the icons that appear when you hover over.

  • The EML attachment will open in a new pop-up window in Gmail.

And that's how you view an EML attachment you have received in Gmail!
