The Founders Log - July 2026 Review

July opened with two new leads, one of which was a clinical startup building a franchise of private GP practices. NHS contracts are becoming steadily less attractive, so more GPs are looking to add private work alongside their NHS work, and the startup exists to provide them with the scaffolding to do so. During our engagement, we helped clarify their IT requirements and advised them on best practices for scalability and security, giving them a clearer roadmap for the future. Although the startup decided to put outsourcing their IT on hold until they have raised funding and proven their model executable, they left the engagement with practical recommendations and a stronger understanding of their technology needs.

The next was a lead I had spoken to approximately a year earlier, who had re-engaged with me on LinkedIn. They are a lead-gen and cold-calling business in the B2B marketplace. As before, we had a great conversation and can provide everything they need as they look to move away from Microsoft 365 and transition to Google Workspace, with ongoing assistance and support. Our standard price of £100 per team member per month includes comprehensive support. I did notice a reaction during the video call when the pricing was mentioned, as it seemed higher than they expected. At this point, I had a gut feeling that £800 per month was more than they realised, even though it reflects the value of robust IT support for a team of their size.

The month ended with our launch of File Unzip by Kimbley IT. This is our first Google Workspace Marketplace tool that lets anyone in the world install it in their Google Workspace and unzip files natively in Google Drive, a feature Google Drive doesn't offer on its own. It's an example of us seeing a need from our clients that isn't currently being met and creating this new tool and functionality at no additional cost. The tool has already been installed by over 658 organisations since its launch. In addition to the Google Drive integration, we launched a version of File Unzip on our website that's free to use today for organisations that don't use Google Workspace but want an easy and secure way to zip files without installing software.

Assistance and Support Statistics

In July, our clients’ team members contacted us 218 times. 46 of those contacts were for assistance, where a team member wanted to know how to do something, and 172 were for support, where something was not working as it should.

Of the 46 assistance contacts, 22 were resolved in less than 5 minutes, 14 were resolved between 5 and 30 minutes, 4 were resolved in over 30 minutes but less than an hour, and 6 were resolved in over an hour.

Of the 172 support contacts, 30 were resolved and the team member back at their work in less than five minutes, 87 were resolved and the team member back at their work in between five and thirty minutes, 23 were resolved and the team member back at their work in over thirty minutes but less than an hour, and 32 were resolved and the team member back at their work in longer than an hour.

All of these contacts came to us through our instant messaging support service. The quickest way to get in contact.
